Being short is not a bad thing, but knowing how to dress up will build confidence in you and you will feel better around everyone, choosing the right type of clothes and shoes matter the most, shop from the brands which give the perfect sizes for your height.

Doesn’t matter if you are short, you should just know how to carry your short look to look pretty, cute and trendy at the same time, whenever you go to shop something you don’t get anything accurate to your size, I have the same case, so I feel your pain. And I have also learned in a long time about how to keep your look pretty being short. I’ll tell you all the little tips and tricks to keep yourself up to date and aware about fashion trends and what will look good on you.

Here are all those basic things you need to follow while dressing up and shopping next time, and you will be shocked to see the results, here you go:

Small shirts to elongate your legs:

If wearing tees, you should go for jeans that start from your upper waist and wear a short shirt, all focus goes on legs making your legs look taller and slimmer, don’t wear extra loose shirt on the top, shirt should also be skinny and carry your all look. If your shirt is long, make sure to tuck it in and wear a nice slim belt to show off your slim waist. This is soo going to make you look taller and trendy.

Say no to baggy clothes:

Baggy clothes are a big NOO for all you short girls out there, even if you want to you shouldn’t, because it makes you look fat and really short more than you already are. So, avoid wearing baggy and loose clothes, the clothes that suit you are skin fitted and skinny jeans covering your upper waist like I mentioned above, that always remains in fashion, if you want to wear baggy shirts and jeans wear them as a nighty. Even if you are wearing a jacket or a coat they should be long with a short skinny shirt inside with a pair of skinny jeans.

In pants or shirts wear vertical stripes:

Dresses that have horizontal stripes makes you look wider, fatty and short at the same time, so they are to be avoided, wear clothes that have vertical stripes if you are going for striped clothing or getting tailored any, vertical stripes makes you look slim and tall, vertical stripes make you elongate your silhouette, you can also opt for diagonal stripes that will also make you look longer and taller hiding your small height. And if talking about trends than I must say stripes never go out of fashion, they remain in trend all year.

Wear V-Necks:

You should choose the style of your necks very wisely. V-necks elongate your neck making your neck looking longer and hence making you look taller, you will feel the difference when you change the style of your clothing from round necks and boat necks as they are a big NO for people who have a short height, they shouldn’t wear what covers their neck, hiding the neck makes you look shorter. Make your necks visible as with a V-styled neck it feels as if you have a big neck, so opt for V-necks next time you shop.

Wear tip-toe heels:

Now the type of heels you should wear, yes, I said heels because you should only wear heels or wedges to look tall, what type of heels you should wear is a question. You should opt for tip-toe heels they won’t make you look shorter I bet, these heels are the ones which only makes you look classy and taller, no matter what you are wearing they will go with any outfit, but most of the times you should wear same colored heels as your jeans or bottoms are.

Small sized bags:

The girls having short heights should carry a small cross body bags because big bags will make you look bulky and shorter, ever saw a short girl wearing big heavy bags, what things come in your minds when you see them, you feel like they are very short and carrying bags bigger than themselves, so to avoid anyone saying that carry the bags that are small or medium, that will make you look trendy and a taller person.

Hair matters the most:

Long hair is a big NOO because it will make you look shorter with long hair, if you have long hair make a top knot/ high bun or cut them really short, cut them till your chin, don’t give them layers, keep them sleek and straight, give them a long bob cut or maybe a short one would do. Before giving it, any other cut do ask your beautician what will suit your height and face and they will do it accordingly.
